Salina Arts & Humanities is changing its office hours to increase availability to the community and efficiency. Effective January 13, 2025, the new hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm. The office will be open the same number of hours per week but will now include noon hours and an extra hour at the end of the day to serve the public after 5 pm.
The schedule adjustment has additional benefits of reducing utility costs and janitorial services and providing hourly staff with the opportunity to have one day during the standard work week to conduct personal business. Nationally, four-day work weeks help increase employee satisfaction and reduce commuting time and costs.
“We hope the public appreciates the office being open during lunch and after five, especially during Festival season,” commented Operations and Development Manager Anna Pauscher Morawitz. Arts & Humanities staff will still be available to assist the public during Friday or weekend programming, which should be coordinated in advance. The administrative offices will be closed on Friday.
