Ordinance No. 23-11191 Summary
On December 18, 2023, the City Commission passed Ordinance No. 23-11191. The Ordinance amends Salina Code Sec. 36-74 pertaining generally to street requirements and specifically to sidewalk requirements under the interim street standards and repeals the existing section. The amendment provides for the utilization of a development agreement as the means of addressing the potential deferral of the installation of sidewalks required under the interim street standard based upon a finding that the public interest is not served by requiring construction of the sidewalk at the time of subdivision development in the case of a nonresidential subdivision or a nonresidential component of a mixed-use subdivision. A complete copy of the Ordinance can be found at www.salina-ks.gov or in the office of the City Clerk, 300 W. Ash, free of charge. This summary is certified by the City’s legal counsel.
