The City of Salina Public Works Department announces that critical street maintenance work on Cloud Street, performed by APAC-Shears, will require temporary lane reductions. This project is crucial to ensuring the continued reliability and quality of roads that support approximately 7,000 vehicles each day. The maintenance will take place on Cloud Street from Broadway Blvd to Quincy, on Monday, February3, and Tuesday, February 4.
Starting Monday, February 3rd, weather permitting, there will be lane restrictions, reducing traffic to one lane on Cloud Street from Broadway Blvd to 9th Street. The sequence will begin with repairs to the eastbound lane, followed by works on the westbound lane. After completing the westbound repairs, there will be additional maintenance involving short, temporary lane closures during daylight hours between 9th Street and Quincy. The work is expected to be completed by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4th. Construction and lane closures will extend each day from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with scheduled improvements focused on street patching to repair numerous potholes.
Drivers are advised to adhere to detour routes and observe all posted signage while exercising heightened caution within the work zone. Residents and commuters can anticipate potential delays; we encourage route planning to avoid affected areas. The City values your patience and cooperation as we work to improve roadway conditions.
