South Street between S. 4th Street and S. 5th Street will be closed beginning October 7, 2026, to allow McCownGordon Construction to complete utility work related to construction of the Salina Regional Health Surgery Center and Clinic.
The closure is expected to remain in place through November 20, 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions. During portions of the project, S. 4th Street will be closed to through traffic between Mulberry Street and South Street. Motorists may also experience temporary delays at the intersection of S. 5th Street and South Street.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, follow posted traffic-control signage, and allow additional travel time.
