NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Design Review Board of Salina Business Improvement District No. 1 to consider the following application(s):
Application #CC26-017, filed by Charles Renz on behalf of Salina Educational Automotive Museum of America Inc, has been scheduled for a public hearing before the Design Review Board of Salina Business Improvement District Number 1. This application requests approval of several changes that were made as part of the expansion of The Garage Automotive Museum from the plans previously approved by the Board. The exterior modifications include changes to the previously approved exterior paint colors of the new addition and the existing fueling station building, changes to the building materials, and addition of another electric vehicle charging station. The subject property is zoned C-4 (Central Business District) and is located within Salina Business Improvement District No. 1, which requires approval of a Certificate of Compatibility pursuant to Section 2-207 of the Salina Code of Ordinances. The property is located at the southwest corner of Iron Avenue and 4th Street, is addressed as 134 South 4th Street, and is legally described as part of Lot One Hundred-Ten (110) and One Hundred-Twelve (112) on Fourth Street in the Original Town (now City) of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
Application #CC26-018, filed by Maggie Gillam on behalf of Blue Skye Brewery, has been scheduled for a public hearing before the Design Review Board of Salina Business Improvement District Number 1, requesting approval of a Certificate of Compatibility to allow the construction of a new canopy structure over the sidewalk dining area. The applicant is also requesting approval of a Sidewalk Cafe license agreement, pursuant to Section 35-265 of the Salina Code of Ordinances, to amend the dimensions of Blue Skye Brewery’s sidewalk dining area. The subject property is zoned C-4 (Central Business District) and is located within Salina Business Improvement District No. 1, which requires approval of a Certificate of Compatibility for the proposed work, pursuant to Section 2-207 of the Salina Code of Ordinances. The property is located on the east side of North Santa Fe Avenue, is addressed as 116 North Santa Fe Avenue, Suite 101 and is legally described as Lot 99 and the North 0.7 feet of Lot 101, all in the Original Town (now City) of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. |
The public hearing will be held in Room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 West Ash Street, on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. A hearing will be granted to any and all persons desiring to be heard on the above request(s).
