Beginning Tuesday, September 29, 2026, Mies Construction will install traffic control and close Choctaw Ave north of Ponca Ave. Pavement will be removed to replace the water main north of the intersection. Access north to Choctaw Ave from Ponca Ave will be prohibited. Choctaw Ave will be closed to thru traffic south of Franklin St. Residents will be provided access from Franklin St. Work is expected to last two weeks and be completed by October 13, 2026, weather permitting.
Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to avoid work zones when possible.
