The soil of Kansas has nourished plentiful wheat and strong men and women, has absorbed the rain and the last words of fatally wounded soldiers, and it holds the memories of hard-fought Civil War battles. Join the popular and engaging speaker, Dr. Merle “Boo” Hodges, as he shares about some of the Civil War skirmishes and battles fought on the dark, fertile soil of Kansas.
This free presentation will be offered at the Smoky Hill Museum, Thursday, June 5, 5:30-6:30pm.
     The Smoky Hill Museum is a nationally accredited history museum, in the heart of downtown Salina, Kansas. This FREE museum is open Tuesday-Friday 12-5, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 1-5. Also, be sure to stop by the Museum Store for a wide variety of regional and Kansas products, local artwork and gifts for all ages.
