Meet the Authors & Book Signing
The Smoky Hill Museum Store is holding a meet the author and book signing on Saturday, March 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Local area authors Judy Magnuson Lilly, Mary Clement Douglass, John K. Burchill and Linda K. Hubalek will be on hand to sign copies of their books. which are available for purchase in the Museum Store.
All four authors have written books based on the history of the area. They include:
• Mary Clement Douglass’ Salina’s Historic Downtown
• John K. Burchill’s Bullets, Badges, and Bridles: Horse Thieves and the Societies That Pursued Them
• Linda K. Hubalek’s Butter in the Well: A Scandinavian Woman’s Tale of Life on the Prairie, Prairie Bloomin’: The Prairie Blossoms for an Immigrant’s Daughter, Egg Gravy: Authentic Recipes from The Butter in the Well Series, and Looking Back: The Final Tale of Life on the Prairie
• Judy Magnuson Lilly’s The Graves Truck Line Story and Voices from the Valley
Visit with these four local authors at the Smoky Hill Museum on Saturday, March 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm for a special book signing. Books are available for purchase in the Museum Store.
Proceeds from the Museum Store support the services, programs and events of the Smoky Hill Museum. The Smoky Hill Museum is a nationally accredited history museum, in the heart of downtown Salina, Kansas. This FREE museum is open Tuesday-Friday 12-5, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 1-5.
