BASS TRIO WITH JOHN DAVIS
PLAYS ART A LA CARTE APRIL 26th
The Art a la Carte concert series on Friday, April 26th, will feature The Kansas Wesleyan University Bass Trio, directed by John Davis.
The concert is a presentation of the Kansas Wesleyan University Department of Music and features the string bass students of John Davis. Instructor Davis is Principal Bass of the Salina Symphony. Musical selections include original pieces for bass ensemble, from duets to quartets; and well-known music arranged for bass ensemble, from Bach to jazz.
Art a la Carte concerts are held at Campbell Plaza, in the 100 Block of south Santa Fe in downtown Salina, from 12:20 p.m. to 12:50 p.m., weekly, in the Spring and Fall.
In inclement weather, performances are held at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts, 151 S. Santa Fe.
Salina Arts & Humanities, a department of the City of Salina, has served a unique role in arts advocacy and support since 1966. The Smoky Hill River Festival, Horizons Grants Program, Smoky Hill Museum, Arts Infusion Program in schools, Cultural Connections, and Art a la Carte concert series are among the programs of Salina Arts & Humanities, located at 211 W. Iron Avenue in Salina.
