1/30/2019 - Smoky Hill River Festival Announces Debut Stage Acts & More

Salina Arts & Humanities announces the addition of several acts new to Festival stages, plus other updates for River Festival 2019, scheduled for Thursday to Sunday, June 13-16.

To better support media, entertainment and public information needs, select details about River Festival entertainment, arts and other components will be released once or twice a month beginning January 30, with comprehensive performance-time and other details shared as usual at the SHRF Press Briefing on Tuesday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at the SAH office.

Among the music acts set to debut at River Festival 2019 are:

*The Amado Espinoza Trio, featuring Bolivian/world music, from Kansas City, MO. The trio is rooted in the traditional folk sounds of the Andes mountains, and explores a high-energy musical wanderlust. Founder Espinoza handcrafts instruments for performers around the world.

*Matt Stansberry & the Romance, a lively, nine-piece American rock 'n' roll band that hails from Oklahoma City. The group is known for its dynamic live shows and a message of love, hope and unity.

*Paris native Jessica Fichot of Los Angeles, performing a unique, mesmerizing blend of French chanson, Shanghai jazz, gypsy swing and international folk music.

*Dustin Arbuckle & the Damnations from Wichita, sharing a strong American Roots repertoire. Arbuckle has toured in 23 countries during his 15-year musical career.

Updates about Festival headliners, the art show and outdoor Art Installations, Food Row, Artyopolis and more will be released once or twice a month. Weekend admission buttons go on sale Wednesday, May 1 at 40 Salina locations and in 21 other cities.

The Smoky Hill River Festival is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, June 13-16, 2019 in Oakdale Park in Salina, KS. Hours are Thursday, June 13 from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is by Festival Button only; $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
