Parks and Recreation Offers Late Spring and Summer Leagues for Adults

Salina, KS – Below is information about the late spring and summer programs Salina Parks and Recreation is offering. No registrations will be taken over the phone. For more general information on locations, deadlines, and registration forms, please visit

Co-ed Volleyball Tournament (spring)
A co-ed, four-on-four sand volleyball tournament will be held Saturday, May 31 at Jerry Ivey Park. This tournament is non-officiated, for ages 18 and above, and registration is $55 per team. Check in is at 8:30 a.m. and games begin at 9 a.m. Teams must register by Wednesday, May 21.

Adult Softball Leagues (summer)
There are a variety of summer leagues available including women’s, men’s and co-ed. The team fee, which includes 10 league games, is $340 with 12 minimum to 18 maximum players on the roster. Forms and entry fee must be returned by Monday, May 5 for early bird discount. The extended deadline is Wednesday, May 7 with a $20 fee.

Co-ed Kickball Leagues (summer)
Games will be played Wednesday evenings. Players must be at least 16 years of age and at least one half of the team must be women. A minimum of seven and a maximum of ten players must be on the field. Kick balls will be provided. Forms and $135 entry fee must be returned by Wednesday, May 14. A $20 late fee will be added after Wednesday.

Women’s and Co-ed Sand Volleyball Leagues (summer)
These leagues are FREE, non-officiated for ages 16 and above. Games will be played at Jerry Ivey Park sand volleyball courts. Women’s games will be played on Tuesdays and Co-ed teams will play on Wednesdays. Teams must provide their own volleyballs. Games will begin the week of May 27. All forms must be returned to the Parks and Recreation office by Wednesday, May 14.

Women’s and Co-ed Summer Volleyball (summer)
Games will begin Thursday, May 29 and be played on Monday evenings (coed) and Thursday evenings (Women’s). Two games will be played per night, costing $100 (non-officiated) and $185 (officiated) per team for approximately an eight-week session. A maximum of 12 teams per league will be registered. Forms must be returned by Wednesday, May 14 by 5 p.m

Women’s and Men’s Three-on-Three Basketball leagues (summer)
Games will be played on Tuesday evenings beginning the first week of June and going until mid-July. The fee is $50 per team for the five-week/ten-game session. Each team will play two games per week/night if possible. Forms must be returned by Wednesday, May 21 by 5 p.m.

Adult Co-ed Seven vs. Seven Soccer (summer)
A six-game league will be played beginning the first week of June. Only team registrations will be accepted. A recreational league is available with one official, no off-sides, no league standings and no league awards for $135. A more competitive league is available for $185 on Thursdays which includes two officials, off-sides, score kept and all other soccer rules applied. The early bird registration is Wednesday, May 21 and the extended deadline is Friday, May 23, which includes a $20 late fee.
