Marci Penner has Ideas for Kansas Explorers
The long awaited Kansas Guidebook for Explorers 2 is hot off the presses and ready to go! Join Marci Penner and WenDee Rowe as they share pictures and tell stories about fascinating things to see and do around the state this summer - and all year long. From the giant grasshopper in Goodland to Pelican Pete’s sno cone stand in Junction City, you’ll be amazed at what Kansas has to offer: low-water bridges, rocks and bowling balls on fence posts, touching memorials, beautiful ruins and fun food options whichever way you turn! Penner is executive director of the Kansas Sampler Foundation and Rowe is the assistant director. They’ll also be on hand to sign copies of the book.
This free presentation is offered at the Smoky Hill Museum on Thursday, June 1, from 5:30-6:30 pm.
The Smoky Hill Museum is a nationally accredited history museum, in the heart of downtown Salina, Kansas. This FREE museum is open Tuesday-Friday 12-6 and Saturday 10-5. Also, be sure to stop by the Museum Store for a wide variety of regional and Kansas products, local artwork and gifts for all ages.
