Centennial Road Ribbon Cutting

The City of Salina will host a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the recently reconstructed Centennial Road.

Portions of Centennial Road (south of Schilling Road) were closed to through traffic from April 21 to October 28, 2016. Vogts-Parga Construction, LLC removed and replaced the old pavement, extended the box culvert, and added a 10 foot wide multiuse trail, sidewalk and on-street bicycle lanes. Street lighting conduit has been placed, but final construction will be completed by Westar prior to year’s end.

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting, which will be held rain or shine, at the intersection of Centennial Road and Jumper Road on November 3 at 9:30 a.m.

Since the event will be brief, guests may park in the Schwan’s Research parking lot. Seating and refreshments will not be provided.
