Beginning Monday, July 13, Cillessen and Sons of Wichita will begin applying pavement markings to the recently completed street overlays on Ohio Street from Belmont Boulevard to Cloud Street, Broadway Boulevard from Ninth (9th) Street to Republic Avenue, and Wayne Avenue from Highland Avenue to Fourth (4th) Street.
Crews will use painting equipment with mobile traffic control to apply the new markings. Drivers are advised to stay clear of the equipment, avoid driving over freshly painted lines, and use alternate routes when possible to help ensure the safety of both workers and motorists.
This work is part of the City of Salina’s 2026 $5.9 million street maintenance capital improvement program.
