Salina Animal Services provides an array of services for your animal needs, including licenses, donations, and spaying/neutering.
Spay & Neuter
To schedule a spay or neuter for your pet, click here. Please no large breed dogs over 60 lbs.
The shelter has been experiencing Kennel Cough. If your dog is not recently vaccinated for Bordetella, there is an inherent risk of contracting kennel cough.
Pet License
Did you know: City Licenses are required on all dogs and cats over 4 months of age and living in Salina?
City Licenses are issued to align with the rabies vaccination, you must have a valid rabies certificate to register your pet. A City License will not be issued past the expiration of the rabies certificate. Licenses are $10 a year if your pet is spayed or neutered; $18 a year if not altered.
Lifetime Licenses can be purchased for a one-time fee of $52 if your pet is micro-chipped, spayed/neutered and current on rabies.
Registering your pet can be done the following ways:
- Online: Visit our online store to purchase a city license online! To purchase a city pet license for your cat or dog, please click here. You will need to create an account with the system or login using the login/create an account function located at the top left of the page under the image.
- Mail: Rabies certificates can be mailed with a check for the appropriate fee to: The Salina Animal Shelter 329 N 2nd St, Salina, KS, 67401
- Drop off your rabies certificate and payment in our drop box at the front door. We will mail your license back; OR
- Call the office and make an appointment and we will help you out in person.
