Beginning Thursday, June 18, 2026, Mies Construction will install traffic control and close westbound W. Republic Ave at S. Broadway Blvd. Pavement will be removed to replace the water main along W. Republic Ave from S. Broadway Blvd to Cherokee Dr. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained. Work is expected to last four weeks and be completed by July 17, 2026, weather permitting.
Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists are asked to follow the posted detours. Westbound Republic Ave traffic at Broadway will be detoured along Windsor Dr, Franklin St, and Pontiac Ave. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to avoid work zones when possible.
