Therapeutic Recreation
The Salina Parks and Recreation Department offers Therapeutic Recreation Program that has multiple monthly activities that include everything from exercise activities to cooking classes.
What is Therapeutic Recreation?
Therapeutic Recreation is a systematic process that utilizes recreation and other activity-based interventions to address the needs of individuals with illnesses and/or disabling conditions, as a means to psychological and physical health, recovery and well-being.
Senior Programs
The Salina Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of senior based programs. Programs are offered during the week and sign ups are taken on a month-to-month basis. We have everything from exercising to the occasional out of town trips! If you're 50+ and looking for something to do - check out our programs!
