Therapeutic Recreation

The Therapeutic Recreation Program runs year-round and is adapted to provide recreation to those with special needs ages 18 and older. A monthly calendar, registration form and news letter (News & Views) is published stating dates of activities, times, locations, fees, deadlines and other important information. A yearly Participant Information Form must be filled out before enrollment is allowed. Pre-registration and payment in full are required before the activity begins. Transportation is provided within the city limits for most activities for an additional fee. If you would like to be added to our mailing list to request further information about this program, please call the Parks & Recreation office at (785) 309-5765.

The Salina Police Department has launched S.A.Id.,
a new program that provides first responders with the
resources to identify and assist individuals with special
needs who find themselves in emergency situations. Click here to read the Press Release!
