Term of Office
The Commission is comprised of five members elected at-large. Candidates receiving the largest and second largest number of votes respectively shall be elected for a four-year term, and the candidate receiving the third largest number of votes respectively shall be elected for a two-year term. Each year, the Commission will choose one member to act as Mayor.

Compensation
Members of the City Commission are compensated $300 monthly. Travel expenses are reimbursed according to city policy
Meetings
City Commission meeting agenda packets are prepared and distributed Thursday afternoon. The City Commission information is also available on the City's website. Regular meetings are held every Monday (except for the fifth Monday) at 4:00 p.m. in Room 107 of the City-County Building located at 300 W. Ash Street. The City Commission will convene for a Study Session prior to each regular meeting. These Study Sessions begin at 2:30.
