LIBRARY BOARD
The Library Board sets policies for the creation of facilities, staff and collections in order to provide books and other library materials for the educational, informational and recreational benefit of the community. The board has an independent budget, taxation and operational authority under state law.
The Library Board consists of eight member, each serving a four-year term (including the Mayor which serves a one year term). This board meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 a.m. at the Salina Public Library Technology Center located at 301 W. Elm Street.
