SALINA HOUSING AUTHORITY
The Salina Housing Authority plans, constructs, maintains, operates, and manages housing for low income persons in the city of Salina. The Housing Authority is an agency of the city government, established under authority of State law, and operates two federally funded housing programs: the Section 8 Rental Assistance Voucher and Certificate Program, which subsidize rents for low-income families renting on the private market, and the Low-Rent Public Housing Program, which consists of 106 single-family houses.
The Housing Authority consists of five members, each serving a four-year term. They meet the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 at the Housing Authority office, located at 469 S. Fifth Street.
