BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 1 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD The Business Improvement District Number 1 (BID #1) Design Review Board advises and makes recommendations to the City Commission or the BID #1 Board of Advisors on matters referred to it. The purpose of this board is to protect and enhance the property located within the BID #1 district by regulating according to proper architectural principals of design, use of materials, finished grade lines and orientation of new building construction and the alteration, improvement, repair or demolition of existing buildings through the issuance of certificates of compatibility where proposed plans and specifications warrant. The BID #1 Design Review Board consists of seven member, each serving a three-year term. At least one member must represent a business and a property owner within the BID #1 district and one member must be design professional. This board usually meets the second and forth Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in Room 107B of the City-County Building located at 300 W. Ash.
