PLANNING COMMISSION The Planning Commission prepares comprehensive plans for physical and land use development of the community, holds public hearings regarding applications for rezoning property, approves plans for new subdivisions and reviews capital improvements programs for public improvements. This commission has nine members, each serving a three-year term. Two members must reside outside the city limits but within three miles of the city limits. The Planning Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in Room 107 of the City-County Building located at 300 W. Ash Street.
