Requirements: must possess Kansas Class I Wastewater Plant Operator Certificate, or obtain within two (2) years of appointment. Duties include inspections, plan reviews, cost estimates, field & laboratory testing, prepare & review operating & capital improvements programs & budgets, researches & prepare reports. Education: Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Science. Experience: five (5) yrs. in technical civil & construction engineering work. Requirements: certification, or ability to obtain certification, with the KS Dept. of Transportation for inspection of state & federal transportation projects. Must possess valid KS driver’s license. Street DIVISION Laborer (Temporary seasonal)
Application deadline: Until filled–Public Works/Streets & Traffic-Performs maintenance on City streets, alleys, rights-of-way, & property; work includes construction & maintenance duties such as mowing, concrete & asphalt repair, painting of traffic markings, trash pickup. Position works July-Sept. M-F 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Must possess valid KS driver’s license. Pay: $7.50-8.25/hr.
