OPERATING BUDGET

In accordance with State Law (K.S.A. 12-1014), the City Manager is responsible for the preparation of the annual City budget.  A proposed budget for the following fiscal year (beginning January 1) shall be submitted for City Commission review and discussion on or before July 10 of each year, along with a calendar for timely consideration and approval of the budget by August 15. 

The budget provides the community with ongoing and long-term financial stability and priorities are governed by the City of Salina's Shared Vision Statement and Strategic Plan and related guidance from the City Commission.  The City will continue to emphasize financial performance through our Financial Trends Monitoring System (FTMS).
