The City of Salina, Kansas does not require a permit and inspection for re-roofing structures, provided there will be no replacement of the structural components of the roof.  Before beginning your project, please check with us to see if a permit is required.  Contact Building Services at 785-309-5715 or come to our office in Room 201 of the City-County Building.  We are happy to assist you with information specific to your project.

Although a permit may not be required for your re-roofing project, code requirements do apply and a licensed contractor is required to perform the work. (exception: owner of home who occupies home as primary residence can perform work) See the links below for information.
