The types of permits listed below are not intended to be inclusive of all circumstances and scopes of work which may require a permit. It does however, include the most common types of residential permits and the general requirements and information related to each type of permit. Water Heater - If the installation of the water heater is not associated with or included in the building permit, it is a stand alone action and requires a "Stand-Alone Plumbing Permit". Contact Building Services at 785-309-5715 for details on obtaining a stand-alone permit.
Furnace and/or Air Conditioner - If the installation of the furnace or air conditioner is not associated with or included in the building permit, it is a stand alone action and requires a "Stand-Alone Mechanical Permit". Electrical Service or Wiring - If electrical work is performed and is not associated with or included in the building permit, it is a stand-alone action and requires a "Stand-Alone Electrical Permit". Contact Building Services at 785-309-5715 for details on obtaining a stand-alone permit.
