Gina McDonald, MRA, Executive Director
Salina Human Relations Commission/Department
Gina has worked for over thirty years with people with disabilities, in training and advocating for civil rights. She has assisted in developing independent living programs across the country. Gina served for six years on the Salina Human Relations Commission, the last four years as chairperson. Gina has advocated and trained in Kansas, Washington D.C. and around the United States.

Sandra Beverly, Equal Opportunity Specialist
As the Equal Opportunity Specialist for the Human Relations Department, Sandy’s primary duties are to investigative complaints of discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodation. She is also a state certified mediator and serves on many committees throughout Salina.

Dina Girón, Human Relations Specialist
Dina assists those who have issues with housing. She counsels those who call or walk in, provides information and referrals. She is responsible for taking housing calls, doing intake for anyone who is filing a complaint, and assists with investigations. Dina is a native of El Salvador and is fluent in Spanish and English. She is the main organizer for the department's annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in September.

Darrin Stineman, Outreach Specialist
The focus of Darrin's job is helping people to be more aware of their civil rights and available social services, with an emphasis on reaching those who face a language barrier. He is in charge of the department's monthly e-newsletter and maintaining its web site. Outreach efforts include presentations at Salina schools about fair housing laws and how they apply to individuals, as well as information about renters' rights and responsibilities. Miki Orr-Muths, Administrative Assistant
Miki is the initial contact person for customers who call or come into the office. She assists office staff in problem-solving of technical and operational difficulties, tracks information, composes and formats all information for workshops, assists with various events and maintains department files. Miki serves as secretary and provides administrative support for the Human Relations Commission and for the Accessibility Advisory Board. Meeting customers' expectations and providing quality service to our customers is very important to Miki.
