Downtown Parking Assessments

The City of Salina commissioned a study of the parking in Salina’s Central Business District in 2007, which culminated in a final report dated November 2007.

Implementation of the recommendations of the report will be discussed at the City Commission study session at 2:30 p.m. on Monday February 8, 2010.

Public comments are requested prior to the meeting, and the general nature of the comments will be shared at the meeting, which will be open to the public. 

Guidelines for Downtown Parking Duration Assignment:

• 2-hour parking and parking in front of commercial businesses changed to 3-hour parking
• 8-hour parking and parking other than in front of commercial businesses changed to unlimited parking
• 15- and 30-minute parking remained if sufficient reason still existed
