Sometime between August 15 and August 17, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 2728 Highland. Unknown person(s) entered a storage shed in the back yard and removed the following items:
1-John Deere riding lawn mower with 42” deck
1-Silver 21” Craftsman push mower
1-Red Toro snow blower
Estimated loss is $7700.
August 20, 2010
Sometime during the night of August 11, 2010, a business burglary was committed at Beverage Carbonation Services, 1625 E. North. Unknown person(s) entered the business and stole a red 2000 Dodge pickup, petty cash, popsicles, and frozen pizza. The pickup was recovered the next day in the 200 blk. of N. Phillips. The suspects removed miscellaneous specialty hand tools, hoses, and fittings from the pickup.
Estimated loss is over $9700.

Sometime between July 18 and July 26, 2010, a theft was committed at Kansas Wesleyan University, 100 E. Claflin. Unknown person(s) entered the media room in the Fine Arts Building and removed an iMac G5 computer system and a PowerMac G5 computer with 23” cinema display.
Loss is estimated at $4,600.

Sometime between July 10 and July 12, 2010, a business burglary was committed at Midwest Gutter, 248 N. Chicago when unknown person(s) forced entry through the overhead door. Once inside, the following items were removed:
1-Porter/Cable air nailing gun
2-Craftsman pot belly air compressors
1-Red Milwaukee hole hog drill
1-Milwaukee ½” drill
2-Yellow Dewalt 18V cordless drills
Loss and damage is estimated at over $1,200.
July 9, 2010
Sometime between 9:00 AM July 4 and 8:00 AM July 5, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 1105 W. Ash. Unknown person or persons entered the garage and removed a Scott Air Pack self-contained breathing apparatus. The air pack has a set of gauges with red and yellow buttons and is in a black harness.
Estimated loss is $4500.

Sometime during the night of June 20, 2010, a theft was committed at Mid-States Energy, 618 N. Santa Fe. Unknown person or persons cut a hole in the chain link fence to gain entry into the lot. Once inside the lot, they removed 2 large copper disconnect links, 5 fused links, 6 double pull disconnects and 12 single pull disconnects. These items are large and are used in transformer stations.
Loss and damage is estimated at over $11,000.

Sometime between June 9 and June 11, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 2430 Cedar Ridge. Unknown person or persons broke out a window to gain entry into the residence. Once inside, the suspects removed a Bravia LCD TV, a men’s gold diamond ring, a women’s gold diamond wedding ring, and a men’s gold CYMA watch.
Loss and damage is estimated at $2950.

At about 11:07 PM May 29, 2010 an aggravated robbery was committed in front of 121 S. Kansas. The victim is a taxi driver and was sent to 121 S. Kansas to pick up a fare. He saw a white male, about 18 years old, standing in front of the residence holding two duffle bags. The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. The victim got out of the vehicle to help load the duffle bags when he was approached by two other white males, about 18 years old one wearing a black hoodie and blue jean shorts and the other wearing a white hoodie and blue jean shorts. One of them struck him with a baseball bat and demanded his money. All three then ran from the scene.

At about 2:30 PM May 19, 2010 an aggravated residential burglary was committed at 201 Pine Ridge Drive. When the resident arrived home, she was encountered by a suspect in the kitchen. The suspect struck her on the head with a sauce pan and fled out the back door. He is described as B/M in his late teens, 6’1” tall, 160 lbs., and wearing a green hoodie sweatshirt.

1-Dooney and Bourke bi-fold wallet and contents

1-Handicap parking permit

Sometime between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM March 6, 2010, a burglary was committed at Kansas Wesleyan University, 100 E. Claflin. Unknown person(s) forcibly entered two offices in the basement of Peters Science Hall. Once inside, a black InFocus video projector was removed.

Sometime between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM January 15, 2010, a residential burglary was committed at 114 W. Stimmel. Unknown person or persons entered the residence and removed the following items:

1-Antique gold men’s watch
1-Antique gold women’s watch
Numerous 1930’s silver dollars

January 8, 2010
Sometime between December 31, 2009 and January 3, 2010, a theft occurred at 820 W. Ash. Unknown person or persons took a red 2007 8’ X 12’ Cargo Express enclosed trailer that was parked in front of the residence. The trailer has diamond plating on both sides and has a National Guard vanity plate on the rear. The trailer contained various electronics, appliances, and other household items.
Loss is estimated at over $12,000.

Sometime during the night of December 27, 2009, a trailer was taken from the lot at 325 N. Santa Fe. The trailer is a 15’ aluminum car transport type with removable side fenders. A spare tire is mounted on the jack stand on the tongue.

Sometime in the early morning hours of December 14, 2009 a person or persons fired shots into the occupied residence of 710 N. 5th. The house was struck several times by medium caliber handgun bullets and a single shotgun blast. A small gray or silver Ford SUV was seen leaving the area. No one was injured in the incident.
Total damage is estimated at over $500.

Sometime between 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM December 3, 2009, a burglary was committed at 221 S. 12th Apt. D. Unknown person or persons entered the apartment and removed 2-Xbox 360’s, a Wii game system, Dell laptop computer, digital camera, and an I pod Touch.

Sometime during the night of November 20, 2009, a burglary was committed at Martinez Complete Car Care, 739 N. 10th. Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the business through the back door. Once inside, the suspects removed a Snap-On vehicle scanner, Snap-On fuel pressure scanner, and US currency.
Loss and damage is estimated at over $5900.
November 20, 2009
Sometime during the early morning hours of November 16, 2009, a vehicle burglary was committed at Quality Inn and Suites, 2110 W. Crawford. Unknown person or persons broke a window on a 2006 Ford F250 and gained entry. Items taken from inside the vehicle include an Apple notebook computer, two camouflaged bags containing hunting clothing, and a Glock .40 caliber semi automatic handgun.
Loss and damage is estimated at over $5400.
November 6, 2009
At about 2:50 AM 10-19-09, a burglary was committed at Rod’s Total, 1339 N. 9th. Unknown persons backed a pick up truck into the front of the building, breaking out the glass. The suspects put a chain around the ATM machine and drove off pulling the machine out of the store. One suspect is described as a white male wearing tan or yellow gloves, black stocking cap and dark blue coat. The vehicle is a white regular cab Chevrolet pickup with a silver tool box in the back.

Sometime during the night of October 24, 2009, a burglary was committed at Mokas, 109 N. Santa Fe. Unknown person or persons shattered the window in the rear door using a brick. Once inside, the suspects forced open two cash registers and removed the money. A Delphi XM radio receiver was also taken.

Sometime during the night of September 27, 2009, a residential burglary was committed at 2060 Harold. Unknown person or persons forcibly entered the front door of the residence and removed a Sanyo 50” plasma TV. A red 2009 Suzuki 4X4 ATV was also taken from the garage.

Between August 22 and August 24, 2009, a theft was committed at Bobcat of Salina, 721 W. Diamond Drive. Unknown person or persons entered the lot and removed a black and orange Bobcat 66” utility grapple with a 55” top grapple attachment.
Loss is estimated at $2300.

Sometime during the night of September 11, 2009, a burglary was committed at First United Methodist Church, 122 N. 8th. Unknown person or persons broke a window and entered the church. Once inside, a Hewlett Packard laptop computer, a Sony digital camera, and a Cannon XL2 camera were removed.
Loss and damage is estimated at $9700.
AUGUST 28, 2009
Between June 10 and July 22, 2009, there have been 23 reports of vehicle burglaries. All of the vehicles were equipped with a key pad entry system. The suspect or suspects were able to enter a code and gain access into the vehicle to remove various items.

On January 21, 2008, 56 year old Beverly Logan was found murdered in her home, 1200 E. Iron. Beverly lived alone and worked in the health care field.
Investigation has revealed there may have been two (2) Ashton-Drake Galleries life like porcelain dolls taken during this crime. The dolls are approximately 10” tall and have “real touch” vinyl skin.
The Salina Police Department is asking anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact (785) 826 7210 or call Crimestoppers at (785) 825 TIPS where you may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest, and are not required to give your name.
