- Building Services has resumed inspections in occupied dwellings but reserve the right to postpone inspections based on the health of those in the dwelling.
- Have you tried our online permit & license portal, One Stop Salina? Let us save you a trip, no need to come into the office. You can access the portal 24/7, click the Salina One Stop link from the City’s homepage. The portal lets you apply for permits, upload documents, make payments, request inspections, and check your status.
- None of the changes/limitations to the services we provide exempt individuals from complying with the code requirements for permits, inspections, zoning, land development, or property maintenance.
- In response to the COVID19 and based upon the Governor’s Executive Order prohibiting mass gatherings of 10 or more people all Building Advisory Board (BAB) meetings will be conducted in a way that all public participation will occur via phone. Meeting participation and viewing instructions will be provided with each meeting agenda.

- Due to COVID19 we have reduced staffing and hours of operation; therefore, the Planning Commission(PC) and Downtown Design Review Board(DRB) will have an alternate schedule until the end of 2020. Both the PC and DRB will only meet once a month, rather than twice a month.

- SAS is closed to walk-in foot traffic. However, SAS staff is available for calls, and pet adoption and reclaim appointments can be made by appointment.
- Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., SAS staff is available for calls, and pet adoption and reclaim appointments can be made every half hour from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (limit of two adults/appointment)
- SAS is closed to the public on Fridays. However, an animal control officer is available for calls through Communications Center dispatchers (same as Sundays).
- Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., SAS staff is available for calls, and pet adoption and reclaim appointments can be made every half hour from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (limit of two adults/appointment).An animal control officer is no longer on duty from 12 a.m.-7 a.m. Animal emergencies during this time are handled at the discretion of Communications Center dispatchers.
